Pontoon Boat Rentals for Gulfport
The 2026 TriToon leaves from the Gulfport Municipal Marina and spends the day on the water off Gulfport.
Pinellas County, Florida
Pontoon Rentals And The Gulfport Waterfront
Every trip we run leaves from the Gulfport Municipal Marina, which makes this the shortest drive of any city we serve. Residents can walk or bike down to the docks, and the boat waits in its slip rather than sitting on a trailer somewhere. Boca Ciega Bay opens up within a minute of leaving the basin, with the Intracoastal running north and Fort De Soto to the south.

What A Rental Day Looks Like Here
Gulfport is home base. The municipal marina is where every one of our Tampa Bay pontoon rentals begins and ends, and dockside orientation happens right there before you pull away. Nothing gets trailered, nothing gets moved, and the walk from the parking area to the slip is short.
The town itself is small and easy to read. Beach Boulevard South runs down to the water through the arts district, ending at Gulfport Beach and Williams Pier. The Casino Ballroom sits at the foot of that street and is the landmark most locals use for directions. About Tampa Bay Pontoon Rentals covers our story and the FWC livery compliance permit.

Logistics, Capacity And Getting Under Way
Locals mostly drive themselves. The no-captain pontoon rental covers anyone twenty-one or older who meets Florida's boating education requirement, and Gulfport boaters usually know these markers already. The plaque limit applies as it does on any rental, and the numbers are on our 2026 TriToon pontoon boat.
Being the departure point gives Gulfport the easiest logistics of any area we serve. Guests booking our boat rentals in St. Petersburg drive about twenty minutes to reach the dock that Gulfport residents reach in five. Clam Bayou Nature Preserve wraps the eastern edge of town, a quiet backwater best admired from the deeper water outside it.
Local Boating Conditions
Tides, Markers And Manatee Zones Off Gulfport
The marina basin and its approach are idle-speed, and that rule gets enforced. Boca Ciega Bay just outside the channel is shallower than it looks, with seagrass flats sitting a few feet under the surface. Running outside the markers on a falling tide is how visitors damage a lower unit. Local boaters check the tide tables before they check the forecast.
Manatees use these flats year round, and posted zones cap speed across a good stretch of the bay. Clam Bayou and the shoreline north of the town beach are especially thin at low water. Anyone unfamiliar with the markers should take the bareboat pontoon rental with a hired captain for a first trip out.
Weekend parking around Beach Boulevard South fills by late morning, so arriving early helps more than it sounds like it should. Summer thunderstorms build over the mainland most afternoons and cross the bay quickly, which is why morning departures are the local habit. Rentals run by appointment, so contact Tampa Bay Pontoon Rentals or call (813) 445-7223 to lock in a time.
Gulfport Neighborhoods And What They Look Like From The Water
Marina District
The blocks around the municipal marina are where every rental day starts. Parking is straightforward on weekday mornings and tighter on weekends. Boarding, the safety walkthrough, and the cooler load-in all happen right at the slip.
Beach Boulevard Arts District
Beach Boulevard South is the main street, lined with galleries, small restaurants, and the Casino Ballroom at the waterfront end. Visitors often build a half-day rental into a longer Gulfport afternoon. Recent trip photos live in the boat rental gallery.
Gulfport Beach and Williams Pier
The town beach and its pier face Boca Ciega Bay rather than the open Gulf, which keeps the water calm most mornings. It is the reference point for anyone giving directions to the waterfront. From out on the bay, the pier marks the turn back toward the marina.
Clam Bayou
Clam Bayou Nature Preserve edges the eastern side of Gulfport with mangroves and shallow flats. It is a no-go for a pontoon at low tide and better viewed from deeper water. Renters headed the other way run southwest along the bay, the same route used for pontoon rentals in St. Pete Beach.
Recent Reviews From The Gulfport Dock
We had an incredible experience with Tampa Bay Pontoon Rentals! From start to finish, everything was seamless. The booking process was easy, communication was excellent, and the entire team was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. The pontoon boat we rented was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and honestly looked brand new. It felt much more luxurious than we expected, which made the day even better. My family and I spent the day island hopping around Tampa Bay, and it turned into one of our favorite family memories. If you're looking for a hassle-free rental with top-notch customer service and an outstanding boat, I can't recommend Tampa Bay Pontoon Rentals enough. We'll definitely be renting from them again!

Sold my boat about 4 years ago due to lack of use so turned to renting as a more cost efficient way to enjoy the waters. In the recent years my family has rented 20+times. I can say out of all the boat rental companies I've dealt with, this one by far was the smoothest experience. Very nice maintained and clean equipment. Very fair pricing. Jon was wonderful to deal with. Definitely recommend to any and all!

David and John do an outstanding job. From the moment you arrive, they make the entire experience fun, easy, and stress-free. They're professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about making sure everyone has a great day on the water. What really stood out to me is that they don't make you feel like just another customer. They treat people like friends, which creates a relaxed atmosphere while still maintaining a safe and professional operation. They're attentive, accommodating, and always focused on making sure everyone enjoys themselves and gets back safely. If you're looking for a great day on the water in the Tampa Bay area, I highly recommend Tampa Bay Pontoon Rentals.
